Rebirth: The End of Serving Death (Initiation)

It is with great effort I tried to stay West, and make my bed in the light of the setting sun.  What has been my inspiration?  An illusive pot of gold at the end of the rainbow–something that could never be enough to settle the soul.  And then I had a broken sole.  Thrice. Besides, I didn’t see a rainbow, until I departed.

But many good things came out of the good ‘Ole West.  When the sun sets, one braces for a promising new day.  Its history holds and have told many love stories of brave cowboys and strong damsels, even some that were in distress.  The West invented various mechanical instruments, some functional, and many a figments of the human imagination.  It has supported many people’s dreams, but also left a good number of homeless ones, indeed.

The West seems exciting at times, but I recognize many old Western paradigm are dying.  Some are barely breathing.  They are on life support ventilators.  The crash cart is nearby and on standby.  These are scary but exciting times too!

Western medicines still focuses its attention on a scapegoat named germs, while ignoring our greatest asset–cultivating the energy form.  This is kinda scorned.  So much focus on sickness and the dead.  But I once heard,Death is not our destiny, but it serve life.” This one is still causing me to scratch my head in strife.

The question remains, how can we stop “serving” a Western death and begin serving Life? Here is my disclaimer: the older I get, the more I am aware I don’t know a blooming thing!  So you are still free to abandon this post at anytime.

Rebirth2It seems ironically natural for one to deny the heart and follow the crowd.  And I think if there is such a DNA program written in our cells, we should make a concerted effort to genetically modify, cut out, or burn it well!  Maybe such feat would be worthy of a taxpayer’s dollar, instead of subsidizing GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) foods to grow bigger and taller.

Now about my rebirth? I resolved that while I’m breathing I will run (after the foot heals), dance, sing, laugh, write poetry (ramble too), work, and rest. Also, I’ll do my best not to lose my fire, but stay amazed at Life, Light, and most mysteriously, Love’s desire. It’s right time to be rid of broken baggage, outdated dogmas, invalid theatrical antics, and old running shoes.

A resilient man from the West, Steve Jobs, while speaking openly on the subject of how to live before you die once said, “Follow your heart, even if it leads you off the well-known path.”  He also made reference to a powerful message from the last issue of a catalog called The Whole Earth Catalog (Mid 1970′s), with these words inscribed, “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.” Those would make a good mantra.  If we can’t stay hungry and be a fool in love, how else could there be any progress?

In ending my preoccupation on the sick, dying, and dead (shuffling these in the back-burner and makinIMG_2925g no efforts to bury them either), today I declare my focus to be LIFE instead.  I realize what you don’t focus on in your life will be buried–by the dust formed from the wind what doing/being in Love carries.

Re-birth is a revival or renaissance of the Spirit in us.  Love point to this road, and is at the heart of it.  When you find something you love, you’ve also found Light, and Life. “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16 KJV).  Love renews and regenerates and invigorates one.  And we know quite well, “…who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts… (2 Cor 4:6, ibid).”

So when you find your self on the path of re-birth and are naturally troubled on every side, perplexed, and cast down, remember—out of death, there is life!  Have faith, believe, and don’t look to the temporal things (moment, situation, people that fly-by-night in-and-out of your life friends) for the answers. Keep your eyes on the unseen and unknowable elements of Love.  This is where you will find the Spirit of re-birth, and grace.

OYE!  Let’s not serve death any more.  Make all efforts to align yourself with health.  Let’s follow the Light in Love.  Why is heart disease the biggest killer?  Some say it’s because the greatest of power in this universe is not followed.  LOVE.  I think this is definitely something great to run for and with.  What do you think?
